How to connect Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 to a VGA projector for PowerPoint?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, and I want to connect it to a projector (VGA style) for running PowerPoint. I think I need a micro USB to VGA adapter. Any recommendations? Thanks.

You need an MHL-to-VGA adapter. This is one of them.

If that doesn't work (it won't on some Samsung devices - Samsung uses 3 different microUSB ports), this MHL-to-HDMI adapter may - then you'll need an HDMI-to-DVI adapter and a DVI-to-VGA adapter, each are a few dollars.

Or use a phone that can use Chromecast mirroring to a TV with an HDMI input.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, my model number is not listed on the MHL site as one of the compatible devices, and using three different adapters seems like a pain. I guess I'll stick with the laptop for PPT.
