Seriously, did you read the instructions?
I really want to be helpful, I do. But in order to do so, it would really help if you would stop being lazy and read. Not just this thread, but the threads I linked to.
If you cant be bothered to do any of this, then really you shouldnt be trying to flash anything.
ok, since this didnt work for me, heres a link for people that have trouble doing the recovery install with their computer, and let people install recovery with terminal emulator All In One Recovery Thread - Android Forums
Can you help me...
I tried all the process like a thousand times, with all the variants that i imagine but when i put fastboot flash recovery recovery.img it says "error:cannot load recovery.img
This is why I'm a bit reluctant to do a ROM. @dshiznit72, I hope you get things working...and perhaps figure out what went wrong. Wish I had more money to by a 'test' phone...however, if I had more money I would have gotten a more expensive phone
Dig it. I've already screwed up once and thankfully I'm getting a replacement phone (though I "worked around not telling them I was trying to flash, lol), but that's only furthered my nervousness of even wanting to be bothered with trying again for quite some time. I think when I get my other thrive I'll think I'll just do well to be happy to root it and call it a day (at least until I get a better understanding of android).
To everyone that is having an issue flashing the img file ... trying formatting your SD card it sounds stupid but I had the same issue with my G1 when I was trying to fix it and that was the cure. I think I even had to do it on my P505. Also Back up your SD card first just in case)
So after screwing up a flash, i attempted this. I was successful in installing the recovery.img file to the phone, and i tried restoring it from the CWM recovery screen, but now it wont load past the LG screen. While watching it restore, it kept saying various .img files couldn't be found, but still said restore complete. Any suggestions?
