How To Delete Photos In Gallery

Thank to the feller here, dap..., on 2/23/13, I have FINALLY got rid of the photos in Gallery. Android makes it as UNINTUITIVE as it can be, and I'm sure I'll forget how to do this next time I want to.

The super secret method is:

Go to settings/apps/gallery/ then tap clear data.

I haven't heard of anyone else having issues deleting pics from the gallery :\

It's worth trying to clarify something here: are you trying to delete locally stored photos from your Gallery, or are you trying to get rid of all of the cloud galleries from Google+/Picasa? Deleting locally stored photos is achieved by simply long pressing the photo and tapping the delete/garbage can icon at the top of the screen. If you want to get rid of the cloud galleries, then that's when you follow those steps (i.e., unsyncing Picasa or Google Photos, then clearing the data from Gallery).

I suppose it must be the former, tho why they were stuck on my n7 gallery I don't know. I guess it's from when I has the sync on. It's off now. I don't even know what Google+ means.

Google+ is Google's answer to Facebook. In my opinion, it's much better in terms of functionality, without the invasive annoying ads. Google+ is also where you can upload your photos--the photo gallery used to be Picasa, but this was folded into Google+.

Picasa's still around, no?

Not really. Picasa was bought by Google, and the old Picasaweb has been incorporated into Google+ Photos. So if you tried to go to Picasa on the web, you'd be automatically redirected to Google+ Photos. You can still install the Picasa photo editor on your PC, though--it integrates with Google+, and can upload photos from your computer to your Google+ Photo albums.

But it still says my photos are stored in Picasa a on my laptop. I don't see anything there about Google+.

Where on your laptop? Do you mean it's locally stored in Picasa, or you're able to go to www.picasaweb.com? If I try to go to Picasa, I'm directed to this site, where the Picasa photo editor can be downloaded. If I try to go to www.picasaweb.com, it immediately directs me to my Google+ albums.

Drat!!! They are all back again in the gallery, same as ever! I can't get rid of them.
