How to delete sent/received pics from galaxy S6

[AC Question]

I have a Galaxy s6 and I received a text with a pic of a guys junk in it by some random person. I can not for the life of me get it off my phone. It is not in my gallery or in my folder it's only seen when I go to send a text. It's in the sent/received folder that I cannot find. My kids are always on my phone and I don't need them to see this...

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already deleted that messaging thread? If so, and if the image still shows up, use the My Files file manager app to look through the various directories of the phone. I'm not sure where the Messaging app saves images, so you'll have to do some digging. It might be in a Pictures or Media subdirectory.
