How to disable ATT announsment?

Turning the phone on in a public area is annoying when the ATT sound comes on.

I'm not sure, but maybe try setting phone to "vibrate".

Are you habitually powering the phone off? Unless you use the phone very infrequently, it's not that helpful to the battery to power it off on a regular basis. I would just leave the phone on, and let it idle/sleep when you're not using it, rather than powering it completely off. That will also avoid the situation of having to power it on in a public space.

Your right it only barthers my wife when I turn it on in the morning.She has an iphone.
