How to disable "Home button for power on"?

Hi all,

At first, I liked the fact that I could power on my Note with the Home button. But now it's getting annoying! Half the time I grab my phone, whether it's out of my pocket or whatever, I end up hitting the home button and turning it on.

Any way to disable this feature?

LOL! thank YOU for clueing me in that the Home button turns the screen on. I've had this phone for weeks and have always been hitting the power button to get the screen back. Learn something new every day.

I wish there was too.

From what I've found this option is available if you're rooted, but that's it.

Thanks - yea that's what I've been finding too.


BUT, in searching I found a cool app that I'm now using called Home2Shortcut. It doesn't accomplish what I wanted, but it does something else I needed. It allows you to assign a double-click Home button to whatever app you want.
In my case, I wanted a quick way to start up my camera (from a turned-off phone). So I assigned the camera to come up immediately on double-click of home button!

Works pretty good.
