Hello,
I have my phone set to prefer calling / Texting (including MMS) over a WiFi connection. Every ~10 min or so, I get a notification stating that my calls will be made over WiFi and that it "Can't get MMS", however, the phone never looses its WiFi signal and my texts continue to work without issue. I know for a fact that my phone never looses a wifi signal because I have sat it next to the AP and watched it.
My question is, can I disable this useless notification? (My phone is not rooted, and I do not wish to do so) If not, does anyone know a fix or work-around to get this feature to work correctly? I do not want to set my phone to wifi calls only, because I do not want to have to remember to change it back every time I leave my house. My current cell signal at my house is 0 bars so I shouldn't be reaching any sort of threshold where the phone thinks cell is better than Wi-Fi and triggering this message. Furthermore, my WiFi signal is full .... all the time.
Phone: Sony Xperia Z3
Carrier: T-Mobile
Thank you!
Edit:
I am beginning to think this is because I have multiple access points in my house. I think this message is occurring when my phone is being handed off between WAP's on the Wireless LAN Controller. I am guessing that 0-handoff would resolve this issue, but prefer my WAP's to all be on separate channel ID's to prevent signal overlap (0-handoff requires participating WAP's to be on the same channel).
Guess I am living with this annoying msg, unless there is a way to disable it...
