How to display App Icon Badges?

Not sure if this is a Nova question or Android or Pixel, but, here goes.....

I was previously using a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone with, I believe, the stock launcher. On quite a few of the icons I would get a number in the bottom-right, indicating the number of new messages/events, such as email, SMS, WhatsApp, Eufy, etc.

Just moved to a Google Pixel 8 and installed the Nova Launcher as there were a few things in the stock launcher I didn't like! On here I do not see these counts appear on the icons anymore.

I have looked in the Nova settings and the phone settings, but I could not spot anything to get them displayed.

Anyone know if this should be possible and, even better, how to achieve it?

Thanks

Welcome to the Pixel community. The Pixel Launcher doesn't do numeric dots at the moment. I am not certain, but I think you have to purchase Nova Prime for the numeric dot option on that Launcher.

FYI: I use the free Microsoft Launcher for Android on my Pixel 8 Pro and numeric dots are an option in settings.

Did you go into the settings and allow Nova access for notification? I just tried it on my P9PXL

I like to add from BKdodger post go to settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>special access tap>notifications access tap>scroll down to Nova to toggle on and allow
