How to Fill up Application Storage?

How do I use up the Available Space in Application Storage? Does it happen when I move apps to Media Storage? Or How? I used App2SD and it seems all my apps are saved to my external SD Card (I have an 8GB).

How exactly do I go about making sure this 2.58GB of Free Application Storage is used because I am running out of space on my External SD card. I install app after app and it seems my Application Storage has been the same still since I first got my phone, meaning nothing installs there automatically. Is there a way to move apps to this area of the internal storage?

In the months I have had it my Application Storage has gone from 2.58 to 2.40GB... I have since installed a number of apps. And I have alot of pictures on my SD Card and I am running out of space. I would like to use this application storage...somehow if possible
