Android Central Question

I have a OnePlus 5, and the problem I have is that all songs that I have that do not have an album name ID3 tag automatically sets the album name to "music", which is the folder that my songs are stored in. The problem this creates is that music players think that since they're from the "same album" (said album being "music") it completely ignores the artist tag of songs and stores them all under the same artist. The end result is 300 songs with completely different artists being stored under 1 random artist of the bunch.

Fixes that other people have offered was downloading an automatic tag editor to give each song a unique album name, but honestly that's a terrible fix that doesn't solve anything.

Anyone know a way to prevent music players from giving songs with no album name the "music" tag by default?

No, that's how they work. Why not attack the problem from the other end and use an iTag editor to add the album name to the file? (If you're computer-knowledgeable, look for Linux command-line editors that can take wild cards for filenames, so you can convert an entire directory full of files with one command.)
