How to free up memory on S4 internal sd card

The phone won't save to the internal sd card. 9.33 GB is used out of 9.70 GB. What files are not needed and how do you safety delete them?

What files are and aren't needed depends on what you want to keep. You can't delete any system files, but there is a lot of user data that you have saved in different apps. Use a file manager like Solid Explorer to find images, videos, music, etc that you don't need to delete those. And delete any apps you aren't using. Then you can go to settings > storage > cache and tap that to delete it all. Should be able to free up quite a bit by doing all of the above
