how to freeze apps with root explorer?

just downloaded root explorer and there is no freeze option. is there supposed to be or am i just supposed to rename the file with a different extension?

The app that freezes other apps is Titanium Backup. You can use Root Explorer to rename files, but then if you ever want an OTA upgrade, you have to find the ones you renamed and rename back to their original name. Freezing is easier and if you want/need to unfreeze them, you can tell Titanium to do them all at one time.

theres an app in the app store for 99 cents that does freezing. I think its called bloat freezer

You can also use Root Uninstaller Pro to freeze apps.

I use AntTek App Manager, its simple and free. You can freeze and defrost any files.
