How to get 1440p videos on youtube?

I just got a G3 today and i cannot get 1440p as an option in the most updated youtube app. Highest is 1080p 60 fps.

Is this a normal thing? The only info i could find on the net was back around when the G3 launched you had to sideload a different version of youtube but that was back in 2014, surely by now the app supports up to 4k video i figured.
