How to get a new paragraph on google keyboard voice typing

I've tried and tried...
Google voice typing is just pants
Completely useless

Yes, I can type one line.
But then how do I add a new line or paragraph????

I've looked up!
All you have to do is day 'new paragraph' and 'new line'.
Simple.
Except not.
Doesn't work.

I tried and tried and tried.
'new paragraph' if you say QUICKLY in the middle of a sentance, it works.

Doesn't work anywhere else.
Like if you are at the end of a line and want to start a new paragraph, it's impossible.

You have to switch to the keyboard and then back again to voice keyboard - so no point.

This morning, I was on a mission. I've searched on Google for hours (OK, for 20 minutes at least). I can't find an answer.

I'm just noticing this post and testing my Google Gboard assistant as I'm typing this from my phone. I think it's working correctly for me. I've tried on the messaging app and a few other places including recorder.

Right now I started the new one and it seems to have space the correctly from what I'm seeing here and my results.

O. P are you using a pixel 6 Pro?
