How to get back to stock

Somebody help please

I bought a Bionic from a friend - already rooted, running Eclipse rom - I did something to the phone & lost root but it is still showing Eclipse's setting. I tried Superuser & Titanium and it says I do not have root

I would like to go completely stock so that I can root myself & learn as I go along.

I am coming from a Droid Charge which I rooted so I know a little about the way root works but like I said the Bionic is new to me so I want to start from scratch

Over on the rootzwiki forums there is a guide and download to get your phone back to stock. Its called FXZ.

Also several posts on this forum on how to FXZ back to stock.
