Can anyone here suggest, how to get this battery percentage in task/notification bar? Refer attached image for clarity.
I was unable to find an app that puts % in notification bar in top right and would replace stock battery icon.

If you know/use this app, please mention full name with developer name, if possible. Yes Google play link would be best.

Device: GSM Nexus S I9020 with ICS
Build number: NexusBeam HD v4.0.3 IML74K
Kernel version: 3.0.8-gb55e9ac
android-build@apa28#1

Android version 4.0.3

off the top of my head, it looks like a specific modification. someone rooted and ROMd the phone to change that.

I have tried some of the alternatives in the market, but they all ended poorly (from a battery pull to a full restore)

Rooting and changing roms might be your only solution

Yeah, you need to flash a custom rom. There is an app that shows the percentage as a running notification. Just shows the numbers, it looks nice but it's in your notifications as a running service though, which I find annoying.

I personally use Team's Battery Bar and I love it. It shows a 1 pixel sized bar across the top of the screen, always. When you're full screen it's still always there. And you can customize the colors too. I love it. Check it out.

Nexus311, any idea which ROM is this? Name? URL?

Yeah, I've tried something similar earlier, but it didn't solve my purpose of knowing the percentage of battery left and that too in notification bar by replacing stock battery icon.

I don't have a nexus s but it looks like aokp to me. I've been using aokp on my galaxy nexus for a couple weeks now, very fast and great battery life.

I am running Cyanogen Mod 9 on a GSM Nexus S and can confirm that battery % is a feature. The battery icon however is a thin bar.

I have also used the Apex Rom which has the circular type icon as displayed in the screen shots. However Apex didn't work too well on my phone and I switched to CM9. Now waiting for JB :-)
