how to get Custom boot sound

Alright I've tried a few ways to get this done but no boot sound with my animation. I'm going into system/customize/resource and file name of android_audio.mp3
Please if I'm missing something here all help is welcome. Thanks

You have to add the highlighted section of this line to your system/customize/CID default.xml file:


<BootAnimation audio="/system/customize/resource/android_audio.mp3" animation="/data/local/Sprint_bootanimation.zip"/>

This should play the sound during boot.

No you have to go to the folder system/customize/ and open the file CID default.xml in an editor. Find the line :

<BootAnimation animation="/data/local/Sprint_bootanimation.zip"/>

in the file and change it to

<BootAnimation audio="/system/customize/resource/android_audio.mp3" animation="/data/local/Sprint_bootanimation.zip"/>
