With Samsung S4 I had 4G/LTE connection. When I got my N5 couple of days ago, I transferred Sim card from S4 to N5. Now my connection is 3G only. Tech support from my provider (Rogers) could not help. She suggested to try to buy a new SIM card. Does it make sense? I don't mind to buy, but which one?

Any help is much appreciated.

Buying a new Sim card probably won't help. Look at the specs and see if the Nexus 5 has support for Rogers LTE bands. If it doesn't, you're SOL.

BTW, which version do you have - the US version or the international one?

hey I'm on Rogers as well and had the same issue.

firstly check you got the right settings for lte and apn:

lte check: settings-more-mobile networks-network mode - lte

apn check: settings-more-mobile networks-access point names - rogers lte(lte mobile.apn)

if all these check out then it's most likely your SIM.

I switched from a 4s which had a 3g SIM. as soon as I installed an LTE SIM it worked right away. they're 10 bucks from any rogers outlet.

Thanks for the info. Both settings check out OK. Waiting for Rogers stores to open. :)
