Welcome. :)

Try using the Volume control to highlight Recovery, then press Power once to confirm.
If no go, try holding Power until the phone powers off, then power on again normally.
Tell us if you still have problems.

Hi there, I've just tried both things.
1. hightlighting recovery and pressing power once to confirm
2. leaving it selected on recovery and holding the button to power it off and then powering it on again normally.

It is still bringing me back to the same white screen with the same options, would you have any advise on what I can do, :( thank you for your help so far. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond to me. It honestly means A LOT!

Okay. It’s not a screen I’m familiar with, but the M8 guys may know, so I’ll move it to that forum. At the same time, I’ll pass this on to other team members, some of whom may know the device and what that screen is.

Thank you I appreciate you passing on the technical issue to your team, would you know roughly how long it may take them?

No way of knowing I’m afraid, but usually within the hour.

I noticed, on the side of my HTC phone, it may have button damage as it has sunken in, may this be the reason it is not allowing me to select recovery? If so would this just be something that could be easily repaired?

Although, it is still allowing me to use the top volume key and the on/off button. I don't know if that helps explain the problem in more detail in any way. Will appreciate any further help you are able to provide. Thanks

Hi there, just wanted to say that you for your help, I tried it once more by holding the top volume key and on/off button for a longer period of time and it finally restarted! :) :) :)

Welcome to the forums. My guess is that the volume down button is stuck. That would explain why it keeps going to the bootloader (the screen you were in) and power and volume up doesn't have a special boot sequence.

I would take it to a repair shop and see if they can look at it.
