how to get rid of superuser

I'm watching this thread too. I have a Fascinate with the same issue. Can't root it following the sticky for rooting the Fascinate, and Z4 root isn't working on it now either. So I'm stuck with a Superuser that won't allow access to anything, and won't uninstall. HELP!!!! Please!

Forget about Z4 root and one click root, they no longer work on the Fascinate since Froyo.

Thanks Sharky. Tried it three times, two days ago with no luck. Kind of figured that was the first place I'd be sent. That's why I said I tried the how to root sticky and it failed. Haven't tried to unroot the phone yet so that will be my next step, I think.

ps. can't get Froyo! and the Z4 and OCLF worked well before I went and screwed things up trying to get to Froyo. But those were the past now..... Time for Froyo, KangBang I'm thinking.

Is there anyone in Iowa City, IA. with a Fascinate familiar with this process that could assist me? I'm having all sorts of problems understanding the things I need to do.

Thanks so much Landshark and DroidXcon!!! I'm kind of a Dunce. Finally I SLOWLY went through the process and followed all the instructions and got it to work. Now to get Froyo and a good ROM/kernel.
I now have Working SU (w/adv. paid for) CWM, Ti Backup Premium, and an overclock widget.

Trust me, we've all been there. You should have seen me when I first started. Now I'm back to looking that way trying to learn new things.

I'm not in Iowa city but in Waterloo.... I've done about as many things to my fascinate as possible... even came close to bricking a few times.
