How to get rid of the select 1 when awnsering a call

I'm assuming you are using your google voice number? If so, I believe its a setting in GV regarding call screening.

I did set it up but I just forced it to stop and cleared the data and its still there.

You need to log into the Google voice site and change it in settings. I forgot where but its there.

go to www.google.com/voice this should redirect to your inbox (if your signed in to I-google)
on the top right of the page you will see your name and a settings icon. click on the icon, then voice settings. Now you are on a page for phone settings. Across the top are different setting tabs (Phones voicemail and text voice widgets etc...) click on calls and you will get all the different call options the top one will be call screening (on by default) click it off. and your phone will be fixed. good luck.
