How to get security updates to PIE without upgrading to Android 10?

Running a Pixel 2 with PIE. A couple of my key apps haven't been tested yet on Android 10 so I'm reluctant to upgrade to that level. But I keep getting prompts up upgrade and reminders that my system hasn't been updated since August. When I try to look for available security updates I see my last security update was Aug 1 but the only update option I get is so go to Android 10.

Is there any more recent PIE security update available? If there is, how can I access it without upgrading to Android 10?

No, sorry, it doesn't work that way. You have to upgrade to Android 10 if you want the security updates as well.
