How to get video to record in the orientation you are holding the phone?

I was holding my phone horizontal while recording a clip, but on the computer and youtube, it comes out sideways. Is there a plugin or patch or something that makes it so whatever orientation you are holding the phone, that it always records rightside up?

What kind of computer do you have, they have programs out there to flip it for you. I've used Window's movie maker, just know you'll end up with black bars on the sides of the video, unless someone else knows of a better program, or knows of a better way.

Next time I will pay attention to which way I am holding my phone. (ugh)

googles picasa will flip them no problem...
