Question How to hang up mobile phone?

I called a company after hours using Google Voice, and the call waited for me to leave a message. But I just wanted to hang up. There was no hang up option on the screen, and I could find none by visiting the four Google Voice tabs. I finally restarted the device, and that seems to have hung up. That company will receive a voice message containing a very long silence.

Environment: TCL A3 mobile device running Android 11 with account from TracFone. I was using my home wifi, not cell network.

Welcome to Android Central! On a phone call, if you don't see the fullscreen Phone interface, then swipe down the notification panel and look for an ongoing call notification. That often will have a button to hang up; otherwise, tap the notification and look for the hangup button in the fullscreen interface.

For what it’s worth, I’ve never found the Phone app and interface obvious or intuitive to use, on either Androids or iPhones. Many are the times I’ve responded to callers by immediately disconnecting them, without intending to do so. Sometimes, people explain to me how it works.
