how to have Chromecast start with an app

I am looking to cut the cable and use youtube tv with my chromecast. I was wondering if its possible to assign the app to chromecast instead of the backdrop. So when i turn on the chromecast youtube tv comes on automatically.

Regardless of what's on the screen when the Chromecast "boots", you still need to load the YouTube app on your other device to initiate streaming as there is no other way to control the device.
