How to I get my emoji's to look like faces and not robots?

I finally was able to access emojis on my Samsung Galaxy s5 (lollipop) but they look like robots and not the smiley faces. I am also limited to about 12 different emojis. Is there anyway to update them?

Can you add a screenshot to show us what you're looking at? What app(s) are you using them in? What did you do in order to enable emojis?
