Needed to start this thread because after installing ICS on my Bionic there were several things I wanted to do and I can't figure them out. Any help would be appreciated.

1) How do you change the picture of an icon. EX: If you want to change the picture of a bookmark icon that you have on your home screen from the standard icon or if you just want a different looking app icon picture, how do you change it.

2) How do you stop the wallpaper from scrolling with your screens.

3)How do you add more screens if possible.

4) How to stop facebook pictures from changing your contact pictures you have set.

These things were easily done before but I can't seem to figure them out with this new ICS.

I don't think is possible without using a new launcher or browser.

I don't think this is possible without a new launcher.

Not possible without a new launcher.

4) How to stop facebook pictures from changing your contact pictures you have set.

Don't sync Facebook with your contacts.

Thanks for the info. I figured out number 4 (facebook) but I was hoping I wouldn't have to use a different launcher as they seem to slow my phone down a little. Do you have any recommendations as to which launcher works best with ICS.

I have tried to download a few widgets from Google Play since recieving ICS and after the download and install, I can not find them anywhere in order to actually place them on a home screen. I know the widgets are listed with the apps and all widgets that I had before are there, but no newly downloaded ones. Is there another way to access widgets? This isn't the case with downloaded normal apps, but just widgets. Any thoughts?

When I first installed ICS and started to download apps they automatically installed on what ever screen my phone was on as long as there was room. I then looked up how to stop this and there was a settings in Google Play that stopped this. The reason why I mentioned this is because I figured this should of happened to you. If not then try going into the app draw and in the upper left hand cornet press on all apps and a screen will drop down. From there press Downloaded and see if the apps are there.

Which widgets did you download?

I downloaded a wi-fi toggle because I just wanted to turn on and off the wi-fi (not the whole power control bar thing). I also downloaded a clock widget BobClockD3. I have the option to uninstall both widgets - but no way to access them in order to actually use them.

Sorry I thought you meant apps. Then go into the app drawer and on top press widgets. I downloaded several toggle widgets and thats where they are. It list them in alphabetical order so you will have to scroll through them to find which one you are looking for. Just so you know even some apps that can be made into widgets (like AK Notepad) which I use will be both in the app draw itself and under widgets.

So they don't show up here?

So I ended up trying to download another clock widget and when I looked for it on the widget screen, I saw the first one that I downloaded earlier - it was not there before. I could not find the widget I just downloaded though. Maybe it takes awhile?

Question:
My Android updated to the new operating system and now I cannot send an email that has attachments unless I have Wifi. I assume it is because the attachemts are over a certain size limit. I cannot find a setting to change to allow emails with attachments to be sent. Old system I just changed the setting in the battery. No such setting in this OS

What size are the attachments you are trying to send?

Are you using Gmail or the Email app?

Using both but the unsent email is in my Hotmail account. Attachments total 12.6mb. I was able to send up to 20mb on old OS.
