How to ignore a particular group with WhatsApp but not mark it as spam and leave group?

My mom is using this WhatsApp group of only me and her to store her links. (Things like gluten free diet and meat causes cancer) I can't leave the group because that will delete the group.

I have insufficient medical authority to get her to use browser bookmarks or any form of offline notepad (She only believes in TCM and religion anyway), and she has Facebook but doesn't use it for the purpose either.

So is there a way to get my WhatsApp client to ignore just this group's conversion while allowing her to continue posting crap 5 times a day?

Hi, welcome to the forums! I think the best thing to do could be muting that chat and even uncheck notifications so they don't show up in the status bar.
