How to import custom emojies into the stock messaging app

Can anyone tell me how to import custom emojies into the stock messaging app preferably without rooting the device? Or, maybe place the images in the smilie folder for use? would that work?

I don't think you can do that. Only way to 'inject' different emojis into the OS is to have it either be supported by the app you're using (like Whatsapp, which overrides system emojis and substitutes their own) or root and hack the system files to use custom images.

Rooting your phone will definitely make it possible, I actually just did it to my phone
