How to improve Optimus V lag?

I'm pretty happy with my V, but there are a few games that just seems to lag too much. Is there a way to improve this? Is it a memory issue - too many apps on my phone? Poor settings? I've read a couple people mention that Angry Birds RIO runs flawlessly on a stock V, but for me it's all about the LAG! Any suggestions?

Just installing Stock+Xionia without an overclock will show a visible improvement. Overclocking on top of that and you will again notice an improvement.

Stock though, there is little to nothing you can do.

I would like to install a custom Rom to speed her up a bit. I'm just a bit apprehensive.

I've read posts from several on this forum that after installing a custom Rom, some things that worked before the install didn't work correctly afterwards.

Is there such a thing as a custom Rom that will work correctly without problems later?? If so, what is it???

2.3 roms have more issues than 2.2 roms. The more established 2.2 roms work just fine (Stock + Xionia, Rodimus and Aphrodite 1.3.3 (xionia 005) being 3 of them).

Give LeslieAnn's Aphrodite 1.xx ROM a try. I'm using it right now and it's as stable as I could hope for.

In the end no matter what rom your using it is always wise to bump up your cpu.
Just go easy when you bump around 800+ as there has been issues when running within that MHz area from many users~

Angry birds runs slow for me too. I think it has more to do with being ported to a system it was written for. Remember, this was an iphone app first.

On my DX it ran perfect no lag at all.But then again the DX was/is a beast.

i seem to lag a bit as well inside the market, but it seems to be just while it's first loading up, then it runs just fine.
