How to increase internal storage on kitkat

I have a tablet with 8GB internal storage . I have 29 GB on SD card but cannot transfer files.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the Internal Storage. The SD card is intended primarily for storage of media files like videos, photos, and music files, as well as documents. Some devices allow you to move an app to the SD, but this is usually just a small portion of the app that's moved.

Android 4.x will not let you move apps to the SD card.

However, any file browser app should copy/move media files to the SD card.
