How to install a custom ROM on Verizon M8

Is there a way to install a custom recovery and flash a ROM on the Verizon M8? I'm currently using weaksauce to achieve root, but how would I go about flashing a custom recovery? Thanks so much!

After some googling I think I've found how to do this, now my question is how can I check that the proper drivers for my device are installed?
