I notice that when I am Google play music it stays in my notification shade. Spotify goes away after a while and then I have to go open again. Is there a way to keep an app active in the notification shade?
Have you already tried turning off Battery Optimization for that app?
Good idea. How do I do that?
Look at step 5 here: https://9to5google.com/2018/03/14/h...y-life-samsung-galaxy-s9-plus-android-basics/. But instead of selecting Spotify to stop running in the background, make sure it's not battery optimized. (Apologies if Samsung has changed this option since this article was published -- I don't have an S9 I can test it out on.)
No 3rd party battery saver apps or RAM booster apps installed?
Strange. When the notification disappears, what happens if you tap the Recent Apps/Overview button and select Spotify? Does it open up exactly where you left off, or does it look like it's opening up completely fresh?
I asked a couple people -- they mentioned that it only seems to disappear when they're casting. Is that what you're doing?
No. It does it if I'm using Bluetooth, headphones, or the phone speakers.
As long as it's playing it's there. Once I've I paused it it goes away.
Make sure spotify not disable when not in use , long press the app >tap info see if its restricted in background when not in use?
Everything is on. Optimize battery usage is on as well.Long press like said before and app info then tap battery should be toggled onView attachment 303487
