Hello,

Can anyone assist me with killing the download notification? I have the notificatio Icon at the top of my screen but I can't get remove it. I tried rebooting my phone by removing the battery but that is not helping. I do not want to do a factory reset due to the pain of getting everything setup on the phone.

Any guidance is much appreciated.

I just upped the limit to 10GB. Click and drag the red line up and it'll disable the warning until you get near the new marker. I figured if I get close to 10GB, I should reevaluate my phone use, LOL.

I not talking about the data usage icon, I'm talking about the download icon in the activity tray at the top of the screen.

It's a simple as swiping down the notification bar from the top of the screen to see the notification. Touch to open or swipe away to remove. If I'm answering your question you must be new to Android : )

Not new to Android. But I tried that and I can not swipe away or touch to open.

What did you download? and from where? When you pull the drop down notification do you get the X in the top right corner? if so click it and see if that removes the notification.

I was able to remove the icon by going to apps, settings, all, Downloads, clear cache.

Thank you everyone for your help.

Ok, then something must be wrong. You should be able to swipe away download notifications, if that's what it is (ex. I swiped away google + update yesterday.). Only things I can't swipe away is Pandora (have to touch to open and then close), the lookout security notification, and when it's connected via usb.

I do not have the "all" button on my Galxay s3 androidandroid version 4.3. I am also trying to get rid of the download complete notifications off my cell phone. pls. help. thanks

I own a galaxy S3 with android 4.3.
The download complete notifications from the email app were so annoying.
All I did was go to get rid of the notifications was go to settings, more, application manager.
Keep swiping right to left 3 times to get to the all apps tab. scroll down and choose download manager app and clear the data and the cache. I also went back to the all apps and cleared the data in the the download app, just in case. No more download complete notifications. Hope this helps. :)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I'm new to android and this was driving me absolutely insane because I spend a good amount of time downloading gifs lol. Thanks!
