How to make front buttons transparent while using Nova Launcher?

If it's possible at all. My front buttons (back, home, settings) and the rectangle around it just stay either black or white, rather than reveal the wallpaper behind them.

I emailed the dev last week about this very issue. This was his response:

Maybe I don't get your question... But I see lots of people with black around their onscreen buttons. Is that what you want?

Also with rooting... You can completely hide the onscreen buttons and then swipe up to bring them out.

I am using Motorola Xt926 Droid i want to unlock its bootloader but i can't. Is it possible to unlock bootloader? So that i can downgrade my phone from kk to jb ?
