How to make notifications disappear after I check email on the computer

I'm not sure if this is a K-9 Mail issue, NoLED issue, gmail issue, phone, or some combination. I'm using K-9 with gmail and NoLED on my Fascinate. When I was using the stock gmail app on the phone the NoLED notification would go away as soon as I read the email on my computer. Now with K-9 mail this doesn't happen.

Is there a way to make the notification go away and have the email show as read on my phone after I read it on my computer? The directions with K-9 leave a little to the imagination.

This could be a push vs pop issue. I don't use K9 for gmail but with the native app, the read emails are updated quick due to push updates with the gmail updates. I don't usually check gmail on the computer because it is blocked at work but I have the same account on both of my droids and the other is usually updated right away. You might try adjusting the refresh rate in K9. That might help.

I have my gmail accounts set up using imap so the stuff is pushed and gets updated instantly, which is why I was thinking/hoping it would update it in the program.

Does it update at all after you check on your computer or does it just take longer? Could be a delay if it is routed through K9's servers.

I think that what I've found is that if I just read it on my computer that it doesn't change anything. NoLED stays showing and if I go into K-9 its still there as unread. However if I delete the message from my computer K-9 doesn't show it anymore, but the NoLED notifications stays despite the message being deleted.
