how to make only select calendar/events chime through, not rest?

i did factory reset it 2-3 weeks ago which wipes out all system settings and phone is overheating daily, so i'm going to return it before its anniversary date in 3 days, so this is a general question that should apply to replacement phone.

i'm missing doctor appts because calendar isn't 'chiming' my reminders (or making too many sounds of any kind which i love but think is a symptom) in all 'disturb' modes. i'd like calendar events to chime through even when phone in 'priority' mode and i have that set to 'always notify' so i'm guessing chimes could be turned off on a factory reset? makes no sense to me, so maybe its a sign phone is going into coma.

i'd like it if only one of my calendars chimed and the others not, or if only select "absolutely can't miss" events chime, but not rest. i'm sure somebody has figured how to make that work.

if my calendar events won't chime reminders with notifications (and phone isn't half bricked), is the setting to make it do so buried in calendar app or o/s sound?
