How to make Rezound's leaked official ICS look like my GN's ICS?

I've had my Galaxy Nexus since the day it came out. I'm quite used to how everything operates.
My Android tablet also now has ICS.

I also have a HTC Rezound. I decided to try the leaked official ICS that was posted on
AndroidCentral today. Since my Rezound is totally stock, everything flashed smoothly
and quickly.

However, I was somewhat puzzled after it rebooted into ICS for the first time. Nothing
looked like the ICS on my GN and tablet.

I assume this is due to the fact that HTC Sense is present.

Is there a way for me to change my Rezound to a more plain-vanilla ICS as Google intended? :D

Thanks! :)

Yes, you'll need to unlock and root your Rez then drop in any one of the many available "Senseless ICS" roms. In the sticky hacks and roms you can find Scroslers and I believe Nils, as well. Hit xda for the rest.

You could try putting Nova or Apex Launcher on your device. It'll make your Rezound a little more stock ICS.

Either of the above options will work. Obviously all depends on how much you want to put into it. I'd personally suggest the Nova/Apex solution until someone finally gets a working AOSP ROM together.

I just tried both Apex and Nova launchers. While they look very much like the stock ICS
experience, they both seem to slow down my phone a little bit. (for example, when transitioning
from homescreen to the apps/widget menu)

Oh well, my GN is my primary phone and the Rezound is my backup phone.(using only T-Mobile
prepaid GSM SIM card with it, paying the $1 or $2 per day when I use it occasionally for voice)

:)

been trying Nova for a few hours, not loving it. It has some useful features but some basic things are missing.

Gonna give apex a go...

I love Nova, but then again I go minimal on the launcher. I had a working version of Launcher2(true stock) but can't get it to work on this ROM. Now that was minimal...700k install.

Think of Nova as a cut down skinned ADW....because it kinda is.

OK, I will be honest, the thing I am missing, from both launchers, is a dock background. I like changing them from time to time....

I still have not found a launcher that comes to the stock ICS UI on my Galaxy Nexus....

Is there a way for me to remove HTC Sense from the phone?

Thanks!

The only way to completely get rid of Sense is to root your phone and put a custom ROM on it. There are guides on how to do that on this forum. Mr. Smith or someone else can chime in on which ROM to use (I have not rooted my Rezound yet) to get the best vanilla ICS experience.

Good luck.

There aren't any truly yet. Xtreme Outcast came very close with his ROM and dmeadows and protekk are working on CM9 which I'm sure will bleed into AOSP.
