How to navigate to SDK/tools/ and open the console?

Hello all! I'm new to this stuff and i just got the sprint hero phone rooted!!!! Though, when i read the post by gbhil, I didnt understand navigate to SDK/tools/ and open the console. I got the phone plugged in and i got the phone mounted to disk drive, now what?

p.s. I was following his post cause i want to get rid of the sprintware and then load a custom rom.
Im also looking for any suggestions on what rom to load. Would like a fast one.

Did you find some answers? For the ROM, Cyanogenmod 7 is clean and smooth. There are a few active threads for the Hero on XDA. Take a look around and flash away Always remember to backup if you run into problems.

To remove apps, either use titanium backup or use a file manager with system access, like root explorer. I'll check back to see if you got what you are looking for.
