Android Central Question
Hello!
I wish to no longer have access to the internet on my phone. (It matters a lot.)
I have been through all the relevant app locks and apps from the app store but I found a glitch using a combination of the 'recent apps' menu and the multi-screen/splitscreen feature that means you can bypass the lock screens for enough time to get into settings and disable them.
So after realising I can get past any app (as far as I can see), I realised I might have to change phones, to one with no internet capabilities at all. As far as I've found so far the Nokia 150 looks to be my best option.. Although as a side question, if anyone knows of a better phone with no internet access please let me know! If I have to resort to getting a 'dumb phone' I will, but there are features I would miss a fair bit, a decent music player with great sound quality, and most of all a really good camera (the Nokia 150 has a 0.3mp camera), It seems there are no phones out there that have these things AND have no internet. (I understand why, and thats not important)
This is why I am here:
Is there any other way to disable access to the internet on my android? I have heard of rooting but am unfamiliar with it or whether it could provide a solution. Apart from that, If I took the back off my phone, Id be happy enough with a permanent, manual solution if by chance there is an internet reciever 'chip' or something that could be disabled without damaging the rest of the phone's fuctions.
Ideally I would love to keep using my Sony X Compact, without the ability to use the internet, and I don't think carrying around a digital camera, an mp3 player and a dumb-phone wherever I go is a solution haha, so I am here to hopefully get an answer in regards to my android phone.
Thanks a lot!
