Question How to place Android Auto in debug mode?

I have a Pixel 8 running Android 15. I have two sets of instructions on how to place Android Auto into debug mode. On says to open the hamburger menu in AA and tap "About" 10 times. The only option I have in my hamburger menu is to uninstall AA. The other directions are shown below which when I tap "version 14.4..." 10 times, nothing happens either.

2. Once you find the setting, tap it and you should find yourself in the Android Auto app.
3. Scroll down and tap Version 10 times.
4. Hit OK.
5. Access developer settings by tapping the three-dot button at the top-right corner and taping Developer settings.

Two things/questions I guess.

Do you have Developer options enabled for your device?

We assume you watched the accompanying video that came with those instructions?

@B. Diddy has pointed out here in the forums many times that Pixels are different in what they allow. For instance, it is not possible to access the Bootloader for these devices, I wonder if this could be another restricted access issue. Pixel by Google, Android Auto by Google, control, and limits, maybe? That's the only other thing I can think of.
