Hello, wondering if there was a way to switch off the "send" option in the native SMS app when there is no text to send (aka a blank text).
I am not interested in using hangouts or any other third party app for texting. If there is no option that's fine, just haven't been able to find the option.
Reason I am asking is that on my Note 5 the "send" option was greyed out when the message was blank. Ive tried to copy the settings but to no avail. Thanks.

My send button isn't active until I have something in the text. That something can be an empty space, but if there is nothing at all I can't send.

I use Textra, I know your not interested in third party, and I can't push the send button until there's a character in the message box. I went back to stock and tried there also, same thing. I see no settings to change how the send button works.

Check your keyboard settings, long shot, but an idea.

I am using stock messaging and I cannot send a blank text. The send button does not activate until there is something in the message field.
