Is there a way to add a Google Voice Search widget to the home screen of a galaxy S8? I know that the Google Voice Search widget was a holdover from ICS but I found it invaluable and easy to use and I can't seem to find a way that works with TouchWiz on the Galaxy S8. Nova Launcher allows a widget that looks and acts the same way as the original Google Voice Search widget but if I don't need to run an alternative launcher I would rather not. I'm not looking for Google Assistant or Google Now just the straightforward little microphone Google voice search widget. There just doesn't seem to be any reference to it anywhere regarding the Galaxy S8 and Nougat.

The Google search bar widget does what you want. You just have to tap the microphone on the right instead of the text input field.

When I got the Galaxy S8, I struggled with this. I finally figured it out, and I had it for quite some time.

Now I have lost it again, and I have no idea how to get it back. Please, If someone knows, please help. I know it can be done. I am not talking about the Google bar that you can narrow down to two icon spaces. I am talking about as single icon which is a microphone, which starts the Google search. OK Google works all right sometimes, but sometimes you just need to hit the f****** button

Long press on home screen, tap widgets, and then scroll through till you see Google. Tap Google, and then long press the one you want. Then drag it to the home screen location where you want it.
