How to reclaim my Google Play account

Hi,
My old Android phone died about 6 months ago and was linked to a Google Play account owned by me. I have just got another Android phone and want to link it to this account to get all my old apps. However I cannot remember any of the login details. I phoned Google Play help and they weren’t able to discuss personal account info….. all I got out of them was to use the account retrieval service which is useless as I can’t remember any of my account details.

Surely they must be someone I can phone/e-mail. Google seem to have the worst customer support in the world.

Any ideas?

Using the account retrieval tool is the only option. Typically it just wants to text you at your backup number or email you at your backup email address. If you literally know nothing about your account (name, etc) - they have no way to determine if it was really yours or if this is identity theft.

Surely they can retrieve my account from my mob number and bank account the account is linked to. I just need a contact for someone who I can talk to. This Google is a huge multi national company yet their customer service is pants.
