how to recover individual app data from google backup?

i removed my DJI drone fly app and t also removed my flight tracks without prompting me. this is on a motorola G5 stylus android 13.
i cannot figure out how to retrieve app data from individual apps. from all i am reading it seems not possible because google backup is sadly no good for this.
any help would be great.
also btw i agree with other comments that it is a pain to move to a new phone because the google migrate process is just inferior - so what good is that backup?

With the DJI app, are they not still on your SD card? I have 2x500gb cards that I use to store till I can get them on my PC.

you are right in general but i lost the drone (with the sdcard) so no records and it seems i did not have cloud storage enabled for the last 2 years

All I can suggest is if you try and reinstall the app and see if it will repopulate. But if you didn't have cloud storage or download to phone enabled. You are pooched.

Thanks. I already reinstalled it but the data is gone anday sleeping on the Google backup
