Since my bt quit functioning properly, how do I reinstall the update to try to fix it?

So I turn bt on and it connects. Then if I turn my headset off, bt shuts off. Crazy.
I have never had that happen before this jelly bean update.
I've tried other devices and it happens on all of them.
I've deleted and paired them again with no difference.
It's the bt setting in the phone somehow that is automatically shutting it off.

Old reply is old. Oh well....

As I've mentioned in a previous comment, have you tried a hard reset? The previous iteration of Android may still have a leftover bluetooth driver conflicting with the current one, which can cause undesired operation.

I did a hard reset
Still not working

Not going to worry about it
Getting the s4 soon enough

May be a problem with JB TouchWiz. I've never had this problem with Jellybean-based AOSP ROMs or even the official JB TouchWiz update.

I'm just speculating, but are you sure that it's NOT supposed to do that? Maybe BT shutting off after the headset turns off is a feature that saves battery. Also, I hope you're not forgetting about the option you have to tick to make your SGSII visible to other devices with BT it's not paired with yet. It may seem simple, but it's easy to forget about it.

Bought an s4 and blue tooth works perfect, like before the s2 update.

Sent from my amazing Samsung Galaxy S4... there is none better!
