How to reinstate sound when doing a Google voice search

In the past when I've used the voice search feature of Google I've gotten an audible "chirp" when I'm done speaking. Right after that the search results appear. Now I get no such sound confirmation though there is a vibration in its place.
Does anyone know how to get back the audible notification and turn off the vibration?

I found the fix. Went into application manager, force stopped and uninstalled the Google app and reinstalled the factory default version of it. All is now working properly
