I don't see a setting anywhere. Surely there is a way to remove these items right??

Sadly, you can't. The only way is to use a third part app. There are several launchers and lock screen apps in the play store which will allow you to customize the lock screen and remove them. It really bothered me at first as well, but I guess I got used to it. My major complaint is you must have google location services on for the weather app to work as opposed to simply letting you type in a location or area code. So mine simply says no data availabe and I use a different weather app, for now.

I've tried nova prime but the default clock on the lock screen is still there.

I really like the weather clock of HTC but I only wish it could be set to occupy the top part of the lockscreen, not the bottom. With the productivity setup I don't like how it looks in the bottom with the calendar entries and mails on top of it.

I have Chronus Pro for my home screen because I use Nova and can't use the weather clock from Sense and I think I will give a try to Daschclock and well and compare the two as lockscreen replacements.

Just installed widgetlocker and finished playing around with the settings. Have to admit it I like it. I really like the HTC One and this app helped fix one of the few negatives which bothered me.

There is now a very simple way to remove accuweather from the lock screen.

Go to the play store and find the accuweather app and click on open. You will find some extra options if you look in settings, one of which is ongoing notification. Turn that off and it disappears
