I use Outlook on my PC for appointments, contacts, etc. I initially bought in to the Google + GSyncIt approach, but am now tired of my phone slowing down every time it syncs to my google account. So now I am going back to syncing to Outlook manually. I got HTC Sync installed and was able to sync, but now have many duplicates in my calendar and contacts. How do I get rid of all Google entries in the calendar and contacts?

Thanks,
Marc

PS: I have a HTC Hero on Sprint

PPS: I am hesitant to sync again until I know how to remove the unwanted stuff.

UPDATE: I deleted everything from my GMail account. Google contacts are gone but the appointments are still on my phone. Any idea how to get rid of them? I can of course hide my GMail calendar but they are taking up a decent amount of memory (I synced all the way back to 2001).
