So what i did was i rooted my phone and installd a custom ROM its called mobster rom n it doesnt have the annoying location icon and also it looks nice and smooth.!!!

Which version did you install because I have the Mobster Remix and I still have that very annoying location icon.

And are you or were you S-ON or S-OFF? :-[

I have a modified systemui.apk that will remove the icon if you still want it.

Pm me and I can send you a link


With an app like root browser light:

Navigate to system/app
Find systemui.apk and replace it with the modified one.
Set permissions to rw-r--r--
Set ownership both to 'root'
Reboot

Your location icon will be gone

Enjoy

Edit: all you need is root access to do this
